State Organizers serve as the lead contact for County Organizers in their state.
Save a Life Day is growing, and with that growth comes the need for proactive statewide leadership. State Organizers help recruit County Organizers, then ensure that all counties are supported, well-resourced, and connected to the larger movement. You help Save A Life Day expand across your state as a coordinated effort!
As a State Organizer, one of your most important roles is helping counties come on board.
That means identifying high-need and interested counties, reaching out, and inviting local leaders to organize events in their communities.
You help connect folks across your state to collaborate on the overdose crisis, and lead by example.
After recruitment, you’ll be an extra layer of support and troubleshooting for County Organizers.
One of the biggest logistical hurdles is securing enough naloxone for events. As a State Organizer, you may:
You make sure every county is ready for distro!
You may help distribute press releases, participate in media interviews, and encourage your counties to add their events to the map.
Promoting Save A Life Day heavily not only saves lives, it helps to normalize naloxone and reduce stigma.
As a State Organizer, you can help promote
Save A Life Day in a big way.
Save a Life Day doesn’t end when the last event wraps up. State Organizers help capture the stories, photos, and impact data from across their state.
You encourage counties to complete post-event surveys, submit photos, help tally naloxone distribution numbers, and may even coordinate a statewide recap video or celebration. You may also help keep the momentum going year-round!
Save a Life Day is just one day, but it doesn’t stop there – we’re all about year-round low-barrier naloxone access and community care.
We can’t wait to see the pics!
